Negative for the cat scan means they didn't find any abnormality with your brain, like a tumor, cancer etc. And that is good. It usually takes 3-6-weeks for ssri's (in your case zoloft) to get in your system, so try to give it more time. Good that you have the ativan, it should help calm you. TMJ can be present with anxiety, depression, oh a whole host of disorders, when your anxious or asleep you may clench your jaw a lot and at night grind your teeth. The pain running from your jaw to your ear and the clicking noise indicates that you are doing this. They can fit you with a mouthpiece to wear at night, also pain medication and that will help you a lot. If zoloft doesn't work you may try lexipro. With extreme anxiety you can have problems breathing and dizzy spells, my mother was hospitalized for that afew months ago, a brief rest and medication helped her tremendously. Good Luck

I wish I could help you. However, I can tell you I understand what you are going through. My life revolves around this pain that nobody can seem to figure out why I have it. I have anxiety and panic attacks too, probably stemming from the pain and frustration of wanting to know why. Im sorry for you, it's a terrible thing to go through. Hopefully the ENT can help you. I am praying for you. Good Luck, and feel better soon.
